Amidst many have and have not’s, BJP is yet to identify and hunt the persons out responsible for their worst performance in Uttar Pradesh. Of course, he was neither Modi, not Yogi Adityanath responsible for such catastrophic political debacle in Uttar Pradesh.
In last Parliamentary Election, in 2024 BJP was just able to win over only 33 parliamentary seats, whereas in 2019 Parliamentary election BJP had won over 62 seats, out of total 80 numbers Parliamentary Constituencies in Uttar Pradesh.
Disastrous debacle of BJP raised the brew of the top party policy makers, however, aftermath of this disaster, in a face saving reply to people’s verdict, the party strategist briefed it as “internal sabotage” plotted by the BJP activist to make a fall of top party stalwart in the state.
The purported conspiracy line was spearheaded towards the key party leaders as a result of which most of the high profile leaders had lost their seats in last parliamentary election.
The political magnitude of this disruption was so powerful, that it had drastically reduced the winning marginal difference of Prime Minister Narendra Modi from Varanashi and defense minister Rajnath Singh from Lucknow in fray.
The political mandate of Uttar Pradesh scribed the fate of parties in fray in following manner in terms of loss and gain of their seats in comparison to last electoral results– (i) Samajwadi Party won 37 seats, hence gained 32 (ii)Bharatiya Janata Party obtained 33 seats, hence lost 29 seats (iii)INC won 6 seats, means gained 5 seats. (iii)Rastriyo Lok Dal won over 2 seats, gaining 2 seats.
On condition of anonymity, many leaders lost, their seats accused party “top leaders’ for not accepting their candidature seriously. Mondol Politics, suddenly floated up on the eve of poll, in the state was another reason for the fall of BJP.
Niranjan Jyoti who was two times MP from Fatehpur Constituency , a minister of outgoing Modi Ministry charged that he could smell the sabotage, two weeks ahead of the poll. Jyoti who was close to Narendra Modi and Amit Shah, says that he will soon draw the attention of BJP leaders, against some subversive act carried out by some BJP leaders on the eve of last election.
Even Sakshi Maharaj, who had lost from Unnao, had not ruled out the possibility of “internal sabotage” of BJP in Uttar Pradesh. He said building of Rama Temple and and public welfare scheme did not touched the cord of common voters.
It is feared that, this disastrous performance might start a political mudslinging Amit Shah and Yogi Adityanath, as both are aspirant, as successor of Narendra Modi.
