Aftermath of Covid epidemic, youths of oriental Asian countries and western European world is showing no interest to take nursing profession as career, resulting a global threat in health sector, \u00a0at the same time in the eastern state of India, \u00a0Meghalaya, the state\u00a0 government is planning to give global job opportunity to the \u201cShillong nurses\u201d across the world hospitals.<\/p>\n
Survey reports of Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) earmarked, interest for the nursing career is dropping drastically in the European Countries of Western world, including Switzerland, Britain, Scotland, Ireland, Denmark, Norway, Canada and United States and also in another 38 countries.<\/p>\n
Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), a propagator of free market economy, headquartered at Paris in France, warned that world is going to face a major challenge in health care sector, as coming young generation is losing interest for choosing nursing profession as career.<\/p>\n
India was the major supplier of nursing staffs in the hospitals of Western world and Middle East, however, migration of Indian nurses is dropping down, recently, because of domestic demand of nurses in the native hospitals and health care institutes of the country.<\/p>\n
Meghalaya Government, as a part of \u201cSkills Meghalaya Scheme\u201d, opened a job opportunity for 45 \u201cShillong Nurses\u201d in Japan and Singapore, hence, 27 nurses from Meghalaya took their bag in hand for their professional journey to Japan, after accomplishing the hard tusk of learning Japanese Language.<\/p>\n
Meghalaya Governments stretching helping hand for global for opportunity to Meghalaya\u2019s youth in order to unlock their dreams for placement across the world. As part of this \u201cSkills Meghalaya Scheme\u201d Meghalaya Government is now ready to sponsor a sum of Rs. 50,000\/- for each aspirant to impart skill training to state youth for global opportunities.<\/p>\n
\u201cSkills Meghalaya Scheme\u201d aims to cover several hundred nurses in the coming years and with their newly inspired skill, those nurses will be placed in various hospitals and health care homes across the world.<\/p>\n
State Chief Minister Shri Conrad K Sangma eulogizing the achievement says, \u201cIt is great to see nurses from the state move out and serve people overseas. We are sending them with blessings and hope to hear positive stories about them.
